Kamvara is a nine-hectare coffee estate and wet mill located in Embu County, Kenya. The farm is owned by Grace Wanjiru Njagi, who grew up in a coffee-producing family in Nyeri. In 1962, Grace and her husband Ephraim established Kamvara—one of the first registered coffee estates in Embu.

Today, Grace runs the estate with the support of farm manager James Njage Njoka and processing manager Emily Muruge. Coffee is grown alongside bananas, cabbages and macadamias, while the farm’s cows and other livestock provide organic fertiliser for the coffee trees.

This AA lot is produced from carefully selected, fully ripe cherries. After pulping, the coffee is dry-fermented, washed and soaked in fresh water before being slowly dried on raised beds. The result is a vibrant and structured Kenyan coffee, with bright citrus acidity, a rich mouthfeel and a lingering brown sugar finish.
