Thiririka FCS is the largest cooperative in Kiambu County, Kenya, consisting of three factories, Kiaganjo, Githembe and Ndundu.
Grown at high altitude of 1600 - 1800 masl in clay loam soil. The ripest cherries are handpicked and delivered to the washing station. They are then pulped on parchment and fermented overnight.

The following day, the parchment is washed and graded
into P1, P2, P3 and P Lights. Over the next 15-21 days the parchment is dried.
The cooperative has hired three agronomists who help train farmers, resulting in increased productivity and quality over the last two years.

This trend is expected to continue into the future. Additionally, Thiririka FCS has contributed to infrastructure renovations at the washing stations, including the installation of metal drying tales and tiled tanks and washing channels.

How This Coffee Tastes

It is a juicy and balanced coffee with a slightly heavy citrus flavour like grapefruit, the acidity of blackcurrant, and the sweetness of the heavy sweetness like caramel and dark honey in the aftertaste.

We roast on every Monday and dispatch on Tuesday.
